Parenting Support & Grief Recovery
TRIPLE P PARENTING PROGRAM
Parenting can be difficult and cause a great deal of parental stress or conflict between the parents. Most importantly, child behaviours can develop from inconsistent parenting approaches and cause disruption and stress to the family dynamic. Triple P is an evidence-based parenting program whereas research findings have found it to reduce problem behaviour in children and improve parenting skills and parent well-being. I am a certified trainer in the Triple P Parenting Program for over six years whereas I taught parents various techniques and strategies to help them cope while decreasing maladaptive behaviours within their children. Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
Traumatic experiences or deeply distressing life events can have a lingering impact, creating emotional challenges that disrupt your well-being. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy approach that research has shown to reduce the emotional intensity connected with trauma, anxiety, phobias, and more.
I am a certified EMDR therapist for adults and children and have been utilizing EMDR strategies to help clients reprocess and work through their troubling memories. This therapeutic process focuses on transforming how those memories are stored in the brain, thereby reducing the distressing emotions and beliefs attached to them. EMDR therapy often provides a greater sense of relief, resilience, and positive self-worth for those who engage in it.
The Gottman Method
The Gottman Method is a research-based approach to couples therapy developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman. It focuses on strengthening relationships by improving communication, increasing intimacy, and managing conflict effectively. Key principles and techniques are implemented within this method to reduce conflict, enhance and deepen the emotional bond for long-term success.
